The Corpus Christi Fishing Trip
Dick flew home this evening, he had a great time and made somebody on the beach very happy---he gave him the fish he caught! I will get him to describe these pictures when he gets a chance---------we have a busy weekend planned. 2 Days of soccer games---starting early in the morning.

Brionna and Brayden's Primary Presidency
visited them this evening and gave them a
picture of Jesus and a bookmark. They were
both very happy! (sorry the color is so bad,
I am going to have to read the directions on my
new camera, I've messed something up!)By the
way, this is one of Brionna's imaginary friend
stories that Brayden wrote about.
She also has an imaginary monster who rides
in a flying grub worm.

Brayden's latest essay
Brayden had to write an essay about his family, this is what he wrote abut his sister.
Love, that is the first thing that come to mind when I think of family. My little sister is one of the cutest 3 year old girls I have even laid eyes on. She has an enormous imagination and deep blue eyes. It's always fun to ask her to tell me as story because it seems she just opens a door to her imagination and lets us walk through. Her fantasies about Princesses and cats and... things girls think about. Well, they just don't end: I think that she will be a wonderful writer when she grows up. Oh, did I mention that she loves to sing? Well then, let me tell ya, I have no doubt that she will make it to American Idol. There is sooo much more to tell you about my sis, but I can't let her have all the fame can I? My mom is one for exaultation. My mom works nights at BSA as an RN. I know you're wondering what an RN is, aren't you? It stands for Registered Nurse. She went through 4 years of college with 1 child and money problems. Yet she defied everyone who said she wasn't going to make it. I look up to her, not only as a single mom with 2 kids, but as an idol.
Brayden also added things about Dick and I that I won't post (too boring!), but I have to add his ending to the essay:
Granddad is like a dad to me because I never knew my real one, he takes me to all my games and stuff. He's like my agent.
(Dick's new name is going to be Agent Granddad)

Precious in a Puddle of Water
I took Brionna to the library for story time yesterday, I always have my camera handy and she asked me to take her picture standing in water. What a silly girl, there was just a small puddle but she was wearing cute boots that she calls her dancing boots and she wanted to put her dancing boots in the water. I love that crazy little girl! She makes us laugh ALL the time. By the way----Dick had the number "one-two" put on her soccer shirt today.

My Next Project
I'm excited to start 2 of these quilts--one for Marygrace and one for Brionna! I bought the kits at the quilt store this morning.
Well, for some reason it won't let me post a picture, however, it's a really nice quilt with ballet shoes and music notes on it.

Our Labor Day Soccer Trip
One of the 1st things we did when we got to Dallas was go to the Soccer Shop, Dick had a long list of things he wanted me to pick up, Brayden got some new "loaded" shoes, new shin guards and new goalie gloves. His shoes are loaded with some substance (like sand--but not sand)
I found this little outfit for Brionna, she talks about playing soccer all the time and even tho Brayden wasn't crazy about the team, it was the only one that would fit her so I bought it and she LOVES it! She told me she wants the numbers "one, two" put on the back, I asked her if she wanted her brothers number put on the back but she's pretty insistant that we put "one, two" on it so Dick is going to have one, two put on it tomorrow.
Brayden is the one in the green goalie shirt in the pictures. He did a good job.

Out of the mouth of babes
Have you ever been to Harry Hinds Blvd. in Dallas? It is home to Sam Moon's (my favorite), Soccer Premier Soccer Store (B's favorite) and to many XXX Rated stores and establishments.
We made a quick 2 hour visit to the soccer store while we were in Dallas over the weekend. This is the conversation in the car on our way to the soccer store.
B's friend: Look at that sign--Nude Ladies
Me: This is not a nice street
B: I know, look at all the pot holes in the street.
