Brionna working in the garden
I am in the process of removing the ugly carpet on the porch, we're going to put something else down (maybe the large outdoor tiles), however, what you see is what the lawnmover ate when someone started it on the porch!

Brionna
Brionna and I had errands to run today, I just thought that she looked cute, she helped me pick out fabric for her's and Marygrace's quilt.
Right after we took these pictures, she fell outside while we were planting some bedding plants and she scrapped her chin, she also cut her lip but I put a cold cloth on it while it was bleeding so she doesn't have a fat lip (thank goodness) but she does have a scratch on her chin.

Elston is in Circus School
Cute little Elston is at Circus School this week, the entire 1st grade went to a Circus School somewhere in Belgium for 3 days and 2 nights. Mikala said he was excited to go. Vaughn is missing him (as well as his Mama) I'm anxious to hear what he has to say about the Circus! He's only been away from his family twice, once when I kept him while Mikala flew to SLC with Vaughn when he was newborn and once when Mikala flew to Egypt to visit Jake. I hope he's not homesick, he took a picture of his family and a loved stuffed animal.
I hope he doesn't want to join the circus when he grows up! He'll make a much more successful professional baseball player, I'm sure of that.
I am going to try and post a link of their Ward Talent show, Elston's talent was hitting ding dongs that Jake threw to him out into the audience. He was a BIG hit and never missed a one! I love that little boy!

Trampoline Fun
Brayden isn't jumping with her, just walking on the trampoline holding her, she was afraid of the wind.
Brionna loves to jump on the trampoline, she had jumped and jumped, the wind started getting bad so we went in and she took a bath, Brayden wanted to jump so she wanted to watch him (excuse her dress, it doesn't fit her but it's Strawberry Shortcake and she loves Strawberry Shortcake! The wind just got worst and worst and that's why Brayden was comforting her, the wind in the trees upset her. When we listened to the local news we found out that we had wind gusts up to 40-50 miles an hour. We were afraid the wind was going to blow her off the trampoline so we went inside the house.

Jake took these beautiful pictures of the Atomium. We visited the park right outside and we will go inside the Atomium on our next visit. We visited Mini Europe which is close by (I think it's about a block away) Dick, Jake and the boys went to the professional Soccer game close by also.
Golden Anniversary for Belgium’s Atomium
With fireworks, concerts, exhibitions and screenings of vintage films, Belgium celebrated on Thursday the golden anniversary of the Atomium, an aluminum and steel sphere that represents an iron atom magnified 165 billion times, The Associated Press reported. Planned, like the Eiffel Tower and the London Eye, as a temporary attraction, the Atomium was built for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair, which attracted 42 million visitors in six months. It became a landmark of the city, but by 2000 the structure — composed of nine huge aluminum-clad spheres linked by steel tubes — was attracting only 120,000 visitors annually. But after a two-year, $43 million renovation in 2006, it drew one million visitors in 18 months. It includes a permanent exhibition devoted to the 1950s, temporary art shows and a restaurant 335 feet above the ground, where spectacular views are offered, along with Ostend oysters and the chicken dish known as Mechelen cuckoo.

Elston's Brussels Soccer Association
This child has a TON of athletic ability! He also plays tennis, basketball and baseball. He can also golf. I may be missing another sport that he is accomplished at, but he's only 6 and he's already an all around athlete. His dad, Jake, plays with him a lot. He's a great dad! (he has a great wife---my daughter!) I do love Jake and appreciate the effort he puts forth for my daughter and their children, he's a great dad and husband.

Vaughn and Elston's School Pictures from Belgium
I love these little guys more than my heart ever thought it could love. I miss them and wish with all my heart I could see them more often. This is their school picture, it's so cute the way that their school let them take them together. They also took them separately, I just already have them in a frame.

Goalie---Soccer Hero
Brayden had a soccer game this afternoon and he is the soccer hero, he stopped the ball twice on ONE PK. (It was a close game) These are his words when I asked him to describe what happened. "Well, I just "read" him basically, I just dove to the left, rebounded it back to him, then I "read" him again and dove to the right and stopped the ball again."
I had him demonstrate his stance and he told me how he has to read their eyes and watch their feet and pay attention to which direction they point their feet.
I hate that I missed this game but I worked last night and was asleep.

My Friends Quilt
I started helping my good friends daughter make a quilt a few months ago, she's already finished one (except for minor hand work) and she's almost finished with her 2nd quilt. She has a new baby brother and she had made him a quilt, it's so adorable and I'm so proud of her! She's an amazing young women.
